A) I posted a new build minutes ago with a LP1 LED fix and the dynamic IP.

B) You can send MIDI (from Lemur) with no 'conficts', but I do I use all of the 8 MIDI in's (to lemur) for the 8 MCU's.

hey cool ... that did the trick .. its aLive ..., had a few crashes but now it's workin nicely .. i don't get any wav filenames thou (which would be awesome), but the counters are working and so is everything else

and once again: so many thx !

now if i want to add some more interfaces for the Lemur to this, do i need to send this on a particular MIDI target ? I just want to set up a ouple of alternative mixers with mutes and some multiballs which i'll all map with MIDI-learn in live or Kore.

or is this template using up all the Midi Deamons already and will get conflicts ?

I repuploaded a mac build with a fix yesterday, my Lemur IP (192.168.1.108) was mistakenly "hardcoded" in the build you have/current pc version. I'll repoload sometime soon to fix that on PC

If you use Steve's Lemurized Molar patch Molar_Lemur.vst, then you do not run MAX at all. If you do run MAX on the same ports, then it may bind to a port that Molar_Lemur.vst needs to use. Steve's patch replaces Molamur.

Simply go into MolarLMR.cfg and set the IP directly to your Lemur here

[256] the prefix, must be 3 chars exactly!
[8004] port that Molar listens to. default: (8000) 8004 for lemur
[8000] port that Molar hosts. (8080) 8000 for lemur

i'm havin a bit of trouble getting this to work.

with this setup, the monome 128 (hardware) is working as usual with the Molar_128 VSTi, the Molar_lemur VSTi receives perfectly from the Lemur, but the Lemur doesn't receive anything

also, do i need to run the second max patch (molamur) as well ?

That sounds a bit more "possible". A bit like the secodary click on Windows Mobile devices....

I imagine that it wouldn't be a problem if there is a time threshold value involved.

If you press and immediately lift your finger, it is a button press. If you leave your finger on and/or drag, it is not a button press but an adjustment of the wheel value.

And I imagine this would be useable without too long a threshold value to make it sluggish. But that is perharps hard to predict accurately without trying out a prototype.

How big do you want it to be? I can't imagine how I could be able to quickly change the value and NOT be pressing the middle...

the dexter doesnt work with live at all.
you'll have to boot it to lemur and roll your own.

You are quite correct it doesn't work.

I found so may troubles with dexter that I stopped using it pretty quickly.

Waste of money really, I was hoping for a new version that fixed all the problems but have given up now.

Looks like a dead product to me.

The concept of putting 80, 100 or more hours into programming Max Patches which work around the current functionality of Lemur is no problem if I am going to be able to use these patches for a while.

But if the next update makes these patches obsolete and the update comes wthin the next few months, then I would be pretty sad. Or, if I spent a lot of time working around a current limitation in Lemur and then the new software that limitation I would be happy about the new functionality, but I'd be very upset that I didn't spend my time working on other aspects of my Lemur programming.

We just don't want to spend our time and effort on work which will bere the most fruit - and knowing an generalized timeline and feature set for the new release would really help with that. Even if the answer is "there will be no new updates for the next 6 months or more" that would be GREAT to know!

I would find a knob that is also a switch/button really useful!

For example, when pressing in its center it could register a button press, and when dragged along its edge it would act as a knob.

I have a behringer bcf2000, and the top row of eight knobs work this way, I find it really useful for many different tasks. For example selecting, without altering value.

I planning to mount it in a case (just like guitar FX). I want foam around it. Does anyone know if this is causes a problem with heat?

Anyone an idea how to secure the unit on a plate?
