In max4live is anyone planning on making ( or working on ):
a clip launcher?
a buffer shuffler?
a step sequencer?
a Loop Shifter?
or any other things? _________________ [o_8]

| JM has hired some big shots to work on some M4L material. It's work in progress, but it seems that it will include a clip launcher. It's otherwise really too early to talk about it... |

| I'm also working on a live cliplauncher. So far I have some basic stuff working, but since I'm new to M4L - it will take me some time... |

I have a clip launcher that is about 80% there.
Just need to debug some things like it failing when the clips have no name and silly stuff like that. It is a massive learning curve for me in M4L so is taking some time.
I am happy to collaborate with anyone out there who has a bit more time than I to squash the bugs or suggest better approaches (although collaboration can often be more time consuming). |

I am pretty far with a clip launcher too, although it is a bit custom made to my needs for my liveset.
It worked great until i decided to upgrade to Max 5.1.1. which broke some functionality. |

I finally gave in and purchased Max 4 Live last night. What I am most excited about is being able to eventually use monome style apps like MLR fully within the Live environment (on my Lemur of course).
Here are two cross references of the discussions on this very topic although they are referring specifically to either the monome or launchpad clones.

I'll admit I'm a complete noob when it comes to Max programming but I bought the software with the desire to learn. The first person to accurately replicate the genoQs Octopus sequencer in a Max 4 Live + Lemur patch will earn as many of my dollars as I can reasonably spare! |

I use the Lemur to handle clip launching (the m4l patch by ferrouswheel updating nick's awesome clip launcher) and a monome to do MLR-styled clip chopping.
That patch referenced by LittleBlackCatWithClaws is really cool and has tons of potential. You can simply chop standard session clips and not worry about loading up other apps such as mlr4live or 7up.
If you want to test it out on your Lemur, I'd recommend using revision 19 rather than 20. With r20, the LEDs wouldn't light up on my monome - I posted my test results on the monome thread.
Anyway, I didn't test that m4l patch with monemur so maybe it'll work. |
